Settings & Configuration
The rtrvr.ai Settings panel is your central hub for configuring the agent's behavior, managing your credits, and providing the agent with more context about you. Fine-tuning these options can help you optimize for cost, speed, and success rate on complex tasks.
You can access the Settings panel by clicking your profile icon in the bottom right of the rtrvr.ai extension.
Credits & Referral Program
Why Credits?
rtrvr.ai uses powerful Large Language Models (LLMs) like Google's Gemini to understand your commands and interact with web pages. The cost of using these models can be variable depending on the complexity of a task. Our credit system provides a simple way to manage these costs.
- →Free Tier: You automatically receive 100 free credits every month to use for your automations!
Referral Program
Share the power of rtrvr.ai and earn credits!
- →Share your Invitation Code: You and your friend will each receive 500 bonus credits when they install the extension and redeem your code.
- →Earn up to 2500 Credits: You can earn referral bonuses for up to 5 successful referrals.
- →Redeem a Code: If a friend shared a code with you, paste it in the "Redeem Invitation Code" field and click "Redeem".

Agent Config
This is where you can fine-tune the core behavior of the rtrvr.ai agent.
Choose Model
You can select the underlying AI model the agent uses. Each has a different balance of cost, speed, and capability.
- →Gemini Flash [RECOMMENDED]: The best all-around choice for most web navigation and automation tasks.
- →Gemini Pro: A more powerful model, ideal for very tricky or complex tasks where Flash might struggle. Note that it is approximately 10x the cost of Gemini Flash.
- →Gemini Flash Lite: A lightweight and very inexpensive model. It's useful for simple, repetitive data extraction tasks but is generally not capable enough for reliable web navigation.
Google Gemini API Key (BYOK)
To significantly reduce credit usage, you can provide your own Google Gemini API key.
- →Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): Input your API key from Google AI Studio or a Google Cloud Project. With your own key, tasks only cost a very small flat rate of 0.01 credits per step.
- →Enable/Disable: Use the toggle switch to easily turn your key on or off without having to delete it.
Parallelization & Timing
Control how the agent handles multiple tabs and waits for pages to load.
- →
Max # of Tabs to Open in Parallel: Determines the batch size for parallel tasks like
@crawlWebPages
and Sheets Workflows.- →Decrease this (e.g., to 3) if your system has limited memory.
- →Increase this (e.g., to 12) if you have a powerful machine and want to process large lists faster. Be aware that high parallelism can sometimes be flagged as bot behavior by websites.
- →
Page Load Delay (milliseconds): The time rtrvr.ai waits for a page to stabilize before performing an action.
- →Increase this (e.g., to 3000ms) for slow-loading or complex web applications.
- →Decrease this (e.g., to 500ms) to speed up the agent on fast, modern websites.
- →
Wait Time Between Scrolls (ms): The delay between each scroll action when the agent is trying to load all elements on a page. Increase this if content loads slowly as you scroll.
- →
Max Scroll Attempts: The maximum number of times the agent will attempt to scroll down a page to find elements or load new content.
Advanced Toggles
Fine-tune specific agent behaviors for edge cases and benchmarking.
- →
Disable Falling Back to Credits: Only applies when you have your own API key enabled. If toggled ON, the agent will not use your rtrvr.ai credits if your personal API key fails (e.g., due to rate limits or an invalid key). This can save your credits but may cause more workflow failures.
- →
Make New Tabs Active: Makes every newly opened tab the "active" tab that your computer focuses on. This is primarily used for debugging or benchmarking Sheets Workflows.
- →
Write Row Processing Time Column: When processing a Google Sheet, this adds a new column detailing how long each row's task took to complete. This is also mainly used for benchmarking.
User Config
Help the agent understand you better! By providing more context about yourself in these fields (such as name, email, location, etc.), rtrvr.ai can better anticipate your needs, fill out forms more accurately, and tailor its actions to your goals.
