rtrvr.ai only acts on tabs when you click a button within the extension. In the 'Across Tabs' panel, we only display tab URLs and titles for your convenience.

Sheets Permissions - Limited Access

We only request permission to create new Google Sheets for your data exports. rtrvr.ai can only read Sheets that were created through the extension or those you explicitly grant access to using the Google Drive Picker.

Your Browsing History is Private

rtrvr.ai has no access to your browsing history. We respect your privacy.

Enhanced Security with Chrome Profile Sandboxing

For even greater security, use rtrvr.ai with a dedicated Chrome profile. This sandboxes any potential AI agent actions, further protecting your main browsing activity.

We Don't Store Your Data

rtrvr.ai doesn't store any additional user data on our servers. Our logs are automatically deleted after a set period, ensuring your data remains private.

Google rigorously vets and tests every Chrome Extension available on the Chrome Web Store to ensure user safety and security. This process includes malware scanning and policy checks, providing a safe ecosystem for extensions like rtrvr.ai.

Chrome Extension Permissions

Chrome Extensions require specific permissions, which are declared in their manifest file. Extensions fundamentally can not take actions beyond these declared permissions on your browser. These permissions allow the extension to access certain browser functionalities or data, but only within the scope of what is necessary for their features.

rtrvr.ai requests the following permissions to provide its intended functionality:

  • storage: Allows the extension to store settings and data locally in your browser.
  • scripting: Enables the extension to inject and execute scripts on web pages for our agent to take actions on webpages.
  • activeTab: Grants temporary access to the currently active tab when the extension is used.
  • identity: Used for Google Sign-In to connect with Google Sheets.
  • alarms: Allows the extension to schedule tasks to run at specific times.
  • notifications: Enables the extension to display notifications to you.
  • contextMenus: Adds items to the context menu (right-click menu).
